pyOutSmsManager

This application has been developed in Phyton 2.X; pyOutSmsManager, reading (and recording on a text file) all that happens on th My Home bu, will advise you, by sms or by tweets, if something occours on your system.

These are its features:

  • automatic monthly log of the entire system (based on text file)
  • send a sms or a tweet if an event has happened
  • multiplatform
In order to install the pyOutSmsManager it is enough to copy all the files in a directory and configure the file "pyOutSmsManager.cfg" by inserting the IP address and the ethernet gateway port.
Finally execute the "pyoutSmsManager.py".
To use the SMS function, after having installed the PySerial library, the software dialogues with every mobile phone linked through Serial / RS232.
To use Twitter, first of all, you have to create a new account; to enable the twitter API you must go on the twitter developers site and create univocal keys and insert them into the file mTwitterApi.py.
