I have installed a new burglar alarm system but some PD may too old by Bticino stock. Is new (2015) 3485 std is compatible with L4604,..L4603/4..L4603/8 pd date 06206 ? It is now not able to save the IR remote signal in to the 3485std controller via L4604 or others.

But another project that the system has been installed since 5 years ago, was able to manage this items by means of  just  replace the main controller from 3486 to 3485std.

    Please let me know.

    Grazie,

Hi, no possible to associate 3485STD with IR activators. Only the 3486 has this possibility because you can program the remote control 4050 directly on it.

Thanks for your reply, That sound very strange situation, as i told about the previous project,

it was able to do this function with 4 sets of IR remote . I am not directly program the IR remote on the 3485std unit but via the connecting key ..4604  by use SHARE function in the key program menu and it is working very well.

Could you please explain as following question from our customer.

Why it is not possible to associate with the connecting key? (because of version or design function or what ever.)

What is the connecting key suitable use for ?

Why it is not said in the manual that this 3485 is not able to working with IR connecting key.?

Please explain more in terms of technical detail , why it is not able to do that ? Observed that all connecting key were detected in the control unit after learning state. and Myhome suite software by 3485std section also allow to enable the connecting key in it.

And in the installation manual said about the programming remote control in the Key program section as it is.

Please help to find the solution or at least explain in detail. All stuff were settle on site but waiting for the configuration and customer is moving in now.

No possible. The technical reason is just because th 3485STD can not transfer the code to the IR. It means that each "virgin" remote control remain with the same codification.

All the remote control are the same and only when you program them by compatible control unit (e.g 3486) you can write a new codification.

No other solution. It is better to use the keypad or trasponder.

Why the instruction sheet or technical info does not take awareness about this issued? If we know it ,we  will not certainly use it . All document always show that the remote control can simply use it as shown in previous attached document.

Who is going to take this responsible? The price of 3486 is much higher different with this controller.

Please advise to solve this problem.
